Q. What is a USB drive and why is it useful with Game Show Presenter software?

A. USB drives are small, portable storage devices about the size of your thumb. These drives plug into the USB port on a Windows or Macintosh. In the picture, you see three different USB drives in the palm of a hand. The drives go by many names: thumb drives, scan disks, keychain drives, USB drives, jump drives, memory sticks, etc. Prices are falling and good USB drives can cost as little as $25! They are convenient way to move your work from one computer to another.
Q. How do I install Game Show Presenter on a USB drive?

A. When you run the installer (gameshow.exe or gameshowplus.exe), there is a screen (shown above) with a BROWSE button. Click that to choose a location where the program will be installed. By default, the program installs on the main hard drive of the computer. But you can click BROWSE button and then select your USB drive as the location. Just make sure the USB drive is already plugged-in before you start this process. Also, make sure when you use the browse button that the destination path you choose ends with a folder name such as "Game Show PLUS folder". This will put all of the program's many parts in a single location.
